I think that it's great to sale consignment especially if you're new to the business it gives you the chance to see what people think about your designs face to face it also gives you hands on with dealing with people and your merchandise. Store owners get that little twinkle in their eyes like it's Christmas morning when they see unique new jewelery..... clothing....etc.... because they know that it will make their store more interesting because they now have more interesting new items and they know that more money is in the picture"which is always exciting!"
Its a wonderful thing for both you and the store owner if your style is one that is unique and eye catching and offering something NEW! DIFFERENT! AND FRESH! being so, your jewelery want have any problem sailing itself.Another great thing about consignment is that your sailing to local shoppes so you get the privilege to build a nice following right where you stand. wouldn't be wonderful you and your girlfriend are meeting for lunch at a local restaurants the waitress that sits you is not waring only one of your designs but two because she walk into one of those boutique and saw something that she like, she was feeling your style "great huh" I think consignment is great! Always be smart when shopping around to sale your stuff. look for shoppes that do 70%/30% and depending on where your located even 60%/40% is reasonable. Sad, but the are some store owners out there asking for 50% of you hard earned work and personally thats a double NO!NO! thanks for reading.
