Being yourself, society dictates fashion, how we converse with each other, how we should live, the way we decorate our homes and yards, what type oof people we should and should not associate with, what kind of job you should have and how much money you should make. If you don't meet up to society's standards you are an outcast in certain communities. Well I decided many years ago I could not afford nor did I like the newer fashion of clothes, furniture, nor did I like having to be looked down on because I could not afford to go to college to get a degree of any kind as I had 3 children to raise. And I did not like to have to compete with other people. I worked in manufacturing and Bartended to support my family. Being a single parent was hard enough without having to care about what other people thought of me as long as I knew I was a good person it didn't mater what society thought. I came to the conclusion that (If people did not like me the way I am than their not worth trying to impress) I am a fun loving woman that likes most people until they prove they are not worth knowing. I wear the type of clothing that I like and can afford, I live in a nice apartment, all my furniture and decor about my apartment is southwestern and Indian style as I an Native American Indian, I have my culture all around me and I am very happy with myself that I don't let society snobs get me down. I have had many friend over the years that compliment me on knowing what and who I am and living as I see fit and if others don't like me thats alright with me, it's their loss, as I am a very nice person and am very proud of myself for being me, I don't have to stress over whether I'm dressed good enough, if I am saying the right things, or if I meet the standards of anyone else. I don't compete with anyone except the person I see in the mirror, and frankly I like what I see. It's me being myself, and I myself.
