Party Politics & Ideology

A new third party idea for American politics

The Patriotic Constitutionalist

The United States Constitution is the singularly most important document in the world, regarding the secular world. Combined with the Declaration of the Independence, it is the worlds founding document on modern democratic-republicanism. It shapes who we are, and what our values continue to be.
The Constitution was written to be the Supreme Law of the Land. It begins with "We the people . . . ." If one were to read the Declaration of Independence through, comparing it with the Constitution's preamble, then it becomes clear that the Constitution is meant to complete the ideas of the Declaration, and securing the ideologies of our nation. Thus, the U.S. Constitution serves three purposes: Establish the authorities of our government (traditionally referred to as power), limit the authority of our government, and preserve the rights of the people.

It should be noted that, with the exception of religious institutions, no business or corporation is ever issued any rights. The rights listed preserved in the Constitution's Bill of Rights are about rights for which people have historically been denied and even caused to suffer for exercising, in order to control and maintain power (not the same as authority) over them, while the people in power did as they pleased.
"Congress shall enact NO LAWS respecting an institution of Religion, or the free exercise there of . . . ." The opening line to the First Amendment has been interpreted as the "Freedom of Religion" clause, and has been broadened to include the idea of "Wall of separation between Church and State" as well as the protective clause to permit atheism'. This could not be further from the wording of the Amendment. Essentially, this, in truth, is a Government power removal, and prevents ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY from creating any rules that surround the formation and operation of a Religious institution.
Examples of things that have been done, and thus violates the Constitution are: attempts to make Churches pay taxes for the revenues that they receive, denying a church from discussing with their congregations the moral and religious considerations regarding laws they will be voting on in upcoming election dates, etc. However, note that this amendment is not the "wall of separation." This means that governments can, as a result of majority rules of the people being governed, display, conduct, and financially support religious activities and emblems
