The internet is filled with an endless variety of websites. Some are for fun, some for information, some connect us with experts, and some are filled with things to do.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find just the ones you are looking for, so here is a list of some that you may want to know about.
If you are someone who is into the "green" movement, Care2.com is an excellent source of information. It also offers a web-based email system, and it has a click-to-donate section where visitors can click a link to generate donations to charitable causes, all for free. Further services are also available with monetary support.
For those with a love of online gaming, or for winning prizes, Pogo.com is another one you should know about. Players can join for free and play with advertisers footing the bill, or for a small fee they can join and play without all the advertisements. There are a wide variety of games available, many of them with a chance to win cash and other prizes through the jackpot spin. Most games will also allow a person to build up tokens, which can then be used to purchase items for the players Pogo "Mini" (a character that is displayed with each person's screen name), or to receive entries into daily, weekly, monthly or "special" prize drawings.
For someone with some type of expertise, or who is looking for an expert in some area, Ingenio.com and/or Keen.com are two places you can go. For the expert, these two places allow you to connect with others who need your services, and vice versa for the rest. Ingenio focuses on things such as one might find useful in the household and business areas, with Keen being there for those who prefer to include spiritual issues along with these.
BellaOnline.com is another useful source, with editors from around the world writing weekly articles, each in their chosen topic area, with several hundred topics available to readers.
