Can you really make money online?

How to Ethically Make Money Using www.reddit.com

While I have to confess that I do still have a day job, I've eased my money worries a good bit by earning extra cash online. One of the best ways to do this is by using the online article promotion site www.reddit.com Here's how you do it ethically, following Reddits rules.

First, get hooked up with www.helium.com. That's where this article is posted. All you need to join is a working email address. Just click the "join" on their homepage and follow the instructions. It only takes a minute and it's free.

Once you are a member of Helium, they will pay you per person that visits articles that you post online, articles like this one. They say they will pay you between one and three cents per visit. I've never made more than one. There is a little money to be made just posting stuff and leaving it float out there. They keyword your postings so websites can pick them up. The most I've made in a month on a single posting this way is about a dollar. Most don't fare that well. Anytime you have over $25 in your account, you can request a payment from Helium into your Paypal account. Once a month, on the first Friday of the month, Helium makes the requested transfers
into Paypal. I've never had a problem with them doing this. They seem very timely.

Clearly, unless you plan to submit a dozen articles a day, you'll never make much money waiting for Helium to promote your article so you have to do it yourself. Here's where www.Reddit.com comes in. Reddit is a reference tool where anyone can log in and recommend a website, in this case the web address of your article. If other viewers like the site they'll vote for it thereby recommending it to other readers. This is good for your article at Helium because every person who clicks on your page makes you a penny.

Just posting to www.reddit.com seems to be worth about 20 to 40 visits whether anyone likes your article or not. If they don't like it, they can down vote it into oblivion. If you don't get any votes, you article pushes off the list in no time. This means you need some quality. If they like it and it starts to get votes, something miraculous occurs. Other people see the number of votes your article has and say "Wow, I wonder why that article has so many votes." They go to your site, make you a penny and increase the odds that your article will get yet another vote. If the article gets popular enough, it will move to the front page of the hot listing for
