One thing that is really neat about smoothies is that they are so flexible. You can put just about any fruit or vegetable in a smoothie. You can even mix fruits and vegetables. If you have trouble getting your children to eat their vegetables, make a fruit smoothie and add a couple of carrots and a tomato. They will never know the difference.. Here is a recipe that we like that is high in anti-oxidants
FRUIT SMOOTHIE
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup fresh peaches
2 small tart apples, seeded and quartered
1 ripe banana
1 cup strawberries
1 sliced up mango
1/2 cup low fat yogurt
A few ice cubes
Throw all this in the blender or Vita-Mix, beat up, and enjoy.
