Here is my take on the whole issue of the site's payrate. It is still infinitely higher than what you'd receive if you were published in numerous magazines.

I suggest people purchase a copy of the Freelance Writer's Market hardcover and look at the "pay" some magazines offer for your work. A penny a word. A half a penny a word.

One-fourth of a penny a word. Or "payment via contributer copies." Or, simply, no payment.

And if you do get paid it is upon publication. That means you spend the cash on mailing in your submission and having to wait two or three months to receive a check. A ten dollar check.

Or how about going to Epinions and writing reviews? No there is paying a dollar or even fifty sense up front for a review. They don't even explain their "algorythm" (sic) method.

Why can't they just PAY people for the reviews and avoid all that nonsense?

Or, if you like "blogging," you could go on the numerous Google Adsense blog sites where you get paid if-AND ONLY IF-someone clicks on your ad.

Imagine writing twenty blogs and no one clicks on the ads? You get ZERO.

And when they do click on the ad, you get something like twenty cents.

So you write twenty one page blogs, get 500 impressions (if you want more impressions you'd have to kill yourself with search engine optimization), and get a whopping twenty sense.

If you write two reviews per page and got .40 cents, and did twenty pages, you'd get $8.00

So, what it comes down to is, Review Stream is hardly a bad offer.

I doubt anyone will make $500 a week on it, but $100 a month isn't out of the question and that can cover quite a lot of bills.

I wish Review Stream all the luck in the world.
