FIVE TIPS FOR IMPROVED HEALTH.

I have recently started a course in health and nutrition with my girlfriend in an attempt to improve our general wellbeing. We already get plenty of exercise as we both love outdoor activities, walking, cycling etc.
But we decided that we wanted to take it a step further and enrolled on a six week basic course in Health and Nutrition.

The first weeks task was to discover and try five basic techniques new to ourselves. Here are what we chose to add to our weekends usual exercise in the way of a day out walking. It begins with a recovery plan for the effects of a Friday night out and finishes with advice for someone whose just completed o long bike ride.

1. BLOODSHOT EYES.

Common causes of bloodshot eyes include coughing, eyestrain, dry air, overexposure to sun, dust, foreign bodies, allergic reaction, infection, trauma, fatigue, high blood pressure, lack of vitamin B complex or ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION.
For a mild case of bloodshot eyes, close and splash the eyelids repeatedly with cold water. This constricts the blood vessels, and also helps to cool and lubricate eyes.
If the eyes are not itching, a warm compress can be used. This could be due to fatigue.
The powerful antioxidants in grape seeds strengthen the blood vessels in the eyes.
2. TEETH.

Foods that stain teeth include coffee, tea, RED WINE and BEER. Food that actually clean teeth are those that require a fair degree of chewing: apples; celery; carrot. Spinach, lettuce and broccoli create a protective film over the teeth, which prevents staining.

3.

RED RASPBERRIES.

Raspberries are laxative, diuretic, and can help clear toxins from the system by inducing sweating. They are a traditional cooling remedy for fevers and cystitis. They are also recommended for indigestion and rheumatic pains.
Due to the drying effect of the tannins it contains, Red Raspberry is used to treat painful and profuse menstruation, whitish or yellowish discharge (from the vagina), diarrhoea and dysentery.
Tea, made from the silvery coloured leaves, is used in herbal medicine as a tonic for the female reproductive system.
Red Raspberry leaves contain vitamins A, B, C, G and E, and they are rich in calcium, phosphorus, niacin and iron.

4. LAUGHTER.

Your doctor may soon be prescribing 15 minutes of laughter a day. A new study has found that laughter can improve blood flow, which over time may protect against heart disease. It is thought that laughter not only triggers the release of nitric oxide, a chemical that relaxes blood
