Single and happy: Myth or not

Single and Happy is not a myth! And if you know that I'm a male I'm sure every woman to read this will think something to the affect of "Well of course you would say that because you're a guy" But bear with me for a moment and let me explain the upside to being single while realizing that there is also a huge downside.
The phrase "Single and happy" is thrown around more often in the younger circles, mostly by men who think that drinking and partying and sleeping with a new chic every week is the "Good Life"! Not to knock it because honestly it is pretty enticing, and yet there is so much to gain by having a partner.

Now notice I use the word "partner" not friends with benefits, not girlfriend, not even spouse, because sometimes they're the worst of all about making life miserable. Now if you can find a partner, someone who really meets your needs, and someone whom you reciprocate that fulfillment to, then you will be truly happy!
The best way to go about this though is by spending most of your early adult years dating and getting to know many people of the opposite sex. Not just in meaningless relationships but also in fulfilling partnerships.
The main point is that being single is fun, but it can also be very lonely. Just don't allow those feelings of loneliness to rob you of the time you need to be single to establish yourself as an adult.Don't be afraid of relationships but at the same time if being single is HONESTLY working for you then have fun and wait till the time is right. You'll know when it is!
