I choose Venom. We won't discuss the movie. The movie didn't do either Spiderman or Venom justice. Wait, we weren't going to discuss the movie. Sorry. Venom has a ferocious style that the wishy-washy Spiderman would be hard pressed to counteract. Spiderman, though truly heroic, has an irritating tendency to over think every action and tends to limit his ability to be proactive. Often this weakness leads to tragedy for the people in Spidey's life.
Venom's natural animal responses create opportunities for Spidermans defeat, and while it could be argued that these same responses makes Venom the villain of anything in which he's involved, he is neither bad nor good. Venom believes in justice, in it's ultimate form. Death. Death for those who deal in same for other individuals. In many ways the simplicity of Venom's take on justice has to do with his dual yet still singular nature. I find in Venom a more convincing physical force than Spiderman, and while I would choose not to be judged by him, I do believe that his power is superior to that of Spiderman.
