Poetry: Feelings

conjuring visions of happy times
staying away from railway lines
clinging to straws of hope and lime
being happy should not be a crime
wishing for a life to smile about
not wanting to kiss any old trout
wanting to dream, imagine and believe
have fond memories that i can retrieve
seeing a picture and making it so
smiling at the reality on show
creating a misty world in my mind

seeing it all even if i went blind
placing the people within this dream
a world full of strawberries and cream
it would be nice if it did exist
where smooth sea, not making the boat list
and the invented lives of within the photo
were real friends were we could all go to
not just seeing the text and typed words
but adding the whey to the bowl of curds
meeting the bodies to add more dimensions
making friends with the best intentions
adding to this life of green lands
gathered round in circles of hands
camp-fire steaming water in pans
tea on the brew drunk from tin cans
songs being sung with laughter and cheer
smiles all round, no need for a beer
glorious sunset giving clouds a red hue
unconsciousness drifting in for all on cue
slumber in peace those gathered round
only nature providing backdrop of sound
carousel of stars visiting the night
twinkles ans sparkles a lovely sight
making it all seem just so surreal
giving it all a Utopian like appeal
so back to the land that time forgot
heart and head running wild to stop
back to looking at pictures of thee
just make sure is the reality i see
still hoping that maybe one day soon
is more than a picture i see would be a boon
back to the typing and texting of friends
and glad that at least they are there
just to say hi.....
