LIFE'S DREAM
It was a dream so big it would take time,
You worked and saved and sacrificed for the dream to materialize,
Denying yourself many necessities and certainly wants,
You wanted the dream.
Every time you got paid you put money aside
For the dream.
Counting each dollar until the day,
Getting closer was pay itself.
Your friends wondered why you never spent much
On yourself and those you loved,
It wasn't that you didn't care about yourself or them,
You cared more- for the dream.
Long days at work, hard days at work,
Sweat popping off your brow,
As you gazed upward in the hot sun,
Visualizing your dream.
Finally your bank account was ready,
To be emptied for the sake of the dream,
You got what you wanted; exactly that.
Your life was no longer on hold.
But after you realized your dream,
And looked back upon your life,
You realized your dream was your life,
But now- it's never too late- to dream again.
