The search for knowledge, or more suitably, the quest for ever-increasing knowledge, is a process everyone goes through their entire Life. The ability to doubt certain acquired knowledge allows new questions to form. These new questions do no less than make us want to answer them. Upon answering these questions with what we believe is true, we find ourselves with more knowledge than before the question was asked.

The topic of this article is stated in the form of a question, "Does global doubt have a role in the search for knowledge?". We are always searching for knowledge; each of our five senses are what give us our knowledge. Yes, global doubt plays a role in our knowledge acquisition. Individual doubt plays a role in knowledge acquisition. If there there were no doubts, we would find ourselves believing in every answer we have ever come upon and never change that answer. Knowledge would have eventually come to a halt without doubt. Rationality is what brings doubt, reasoning, along with other aspects of the Mind.

We are always making progress in knowledge acquisition. This will never stop, so long as we are experiencing anything and have a means to store memory.
