Arrange marriages is not a tradition but in many ways a set rules of culture. My parents and their parents have had their marriages arranged and maybe all wasn't happy but they managed to work it out but the difference is the generation gaps cannot be ignored.
I still feel that Arrange marriages are good if the two people are in question are genuinely happy without any kind of pressure as the downside of arrange marriages in the Asian communities have taken place due to pressure from the family, and that is a main factor why arrange marriages fail due to this reason, alone!
One could always argue the pros and cons of every subject but the olny way to really understand the stiuation is to have a open mind and be able to think from another's perspecive in order to fully understand but we let our ego get in the way.
My grandmother used to say, Couples are made in heaven, if that is true, then why the divorce, remarriage, affairs? I feel its every individuals choice, arrange marriage is a choice, but form some its a order!
