No Child Left Behind: The needs of children vs politicians

I belieave in the no I believe in the no child left behind. I first really visited it last school year 2006-2007. It started at the end of first quarter. I never heard from any of my son's teachers and thought he was doing well. Then I receive the first report card of horror. I spoke with his counselor that was going to talk with the teachers about this, which I still did not hear anything. At the end of the first semester he failed all major classes and had stress from a bully at the school. Still I did not hear from the teachers. So I requested a meeting with all his core teachers. Now the stress my son had was from him and his girlfriend having been threatened by another student stating he was going to take a 9 MM and blow both of them away. After the school administration not doing anything I took out charges against the other student. As of right now it is still in court since April of this year and four court dates so far with the last being continuing on to December. When I and my wife met with our son's teachers they did not know any of this and the administration at the school even told me that no one else needed to know what was going on. Even after meeting with the teachers and no help from them, our son failed his first year of high school. I tried to even get him in a virtual class over the summer so he could make the classes up. It was a month into the class before he got his information with less then three weeks to finish the classes. I even took all my complaints to the school board but now one listen. Now I see why we have children left behind and violence in schools.
