How to prevent learning disabilities

Obviously, if you are on a healthy diet while pregnant, then your baby-to-be is going to get adequate nourishment for proper physical and mental development.

Excessive X-rays can also be a problem for the developing fetus. Obviously, your doctor knows this; so, if an x-ray is suggested, make sure your doctor convinces you that there is no other option.

If you like seafood, I suggest you do not eat any while you are pregnant. You can find recommendations that say you should limit your seafood to once or twice a week, and to stay away from the larger species of fish because of the higher mercury content. It just seems prudent to stay away from fish altogether.

If you have any health problems, ask your doctor if and how they might affect the development of your fetus. You run a very high rise of creating problems for you and your fetus when you do not quickly address your health problems.

Some health problems have no bearing on your new born child's development; but such things as diabetes, high blood pressure, depression can have an influence.

LET YOU DOCTOR DECIDE!

Be on the safe side, your new born baby's side, and take precautions that you might not normally take. After all, if you can do something to prevent a learning disability, as a parent you should do it -

no ifs, no ands, no buts.
