Returning to my truck after finishing a 400' rock climb I ran across two young climbers that were doing Yoga as they began to prepare for their climb. They were peaceful and totally relaxed. I envied that space as I find myself in a constant battle with the enemy of the clock. As I struggle from day to day trying to keep up with improbable schedules, I find that I am falling victim to society's racing game and not allowing myself to relax and slow it way down. The struggle actually comes from a hurried mind set. As I reflect on the two younger climbers I was happy for them and glad that I met them because it changed my conscious thought about taking time out for myself. The key would soon be forgetting about the struggle in life and letting go of everything else in the moment so that I may truly relax and focus on the enjoyment of what I am doing. In my reflections, I only wish I had realized this very great lesson sooner.
