Testimonies: My jewelry nightmare

by Riel T

It took a walk around the small mall before I decided to part with my money for a lariat. I loved that piece, the shiny gold with copper embellishment, tiny gold leaves & seed pearls. It was such a neutral shade; I could pair it with both light & dark colors.

Winding it around my necklace works like a choker & choke me it did, as the chain was quite fine & the weight of the glass beads & stuff pulled it tighter round my neck as the evening wore on. It left a thin red line round my neck & rashes started to appear.

By draping it loosely around my neck, the glass beads serves to accentuate my neckline so deliciously. But it was hellish for my vintage lace top as it got snug, the threads & lace got caught in-between even as I receive compliments on my outfit & my top was being torn apart.

Untangling it left me crossed-eyed; as all the little bits & bobs have to be separated carefully lest it falls out. I had to keep it nicely pinned in a box before it became a mess again.

My most devilish piece both in looks & when worn.
