One of the reasons I hate to go to bed at night, and a big part of why I can't sleep when I get there, Restless Legs Syndrome. Literally nerve racking. I can't tell you how many years I've been plagued with this , It goes as far back as I can remember. Just about every body in my family has it, and they all take the same medication for it. I won't take any more pills, I take more than I want to now, so I just ride it out as best as I can. I notice it more if I've walked more, or carried anything heavy, like several loads of laundry. And then I get good nights that It doesn't bother me at all. It's like an internal itch, or shooting pain that you can't scratch. You keep jerking your legs, as this seems to be the only relief for a minute or two. Sometimes my dog doesn't even want to sleep with me, she's a tiny poodle. You actually have these jerking sensations, it's an unreal feeling, that you don't want to feel. But once it starts, the nights can be long and miserable, and you're just as tired the next day, as you were the night before. I take Xanax for my nerves, and this is a nerve disorder, so I take the Xanax, and two tylenol before I go to bed, sometimes it helps, and sometimes it doesn't. I feel sorry for every one of you who deal with this horrible disease, I dread the bad nights, but I thank God for the good ones.
