Larry Craig needs to do the honorable thing and go away.
I couldn't care less if Craig is gay. I also couldn't care less what he does in his personal life (indeed, I'd rather not know in the first place). However, I do think it's legitimate to call into question the motivations of someone who has a consistent anti-gay voting record yet behaves like this.
Perhaps more important than that, what the sam hill was Craig thinking by cruising for hot action in an airport restroom? I don't care if it turns out he's straighter than Gene Simmons, there's something not right with that picture, especially given he's a United States Senator for Chrissakes.
Snarky comments aside, Craig clearly has a problem with something. For the sake of his family as well as for himself, he should get some help ASAP. Further, any effectiveness he may have had in the Senate before yesterday is gone, and folks, it ain't coming back. In his case, resignation is the honorable thing. I'm still utterly baffled by this turn of events but I nonetheless wish him good health, both physical and mental.
