Poetry: Change

I am so much like you
Even though you're gone
Everything goes swell, then it all goes wrong
Why can't I just be me, be happy and set free
Why did you have to go, you left me here to bleed...

Normality shapes me - Sets me up happy
I don't know what it's like - To have a mind set free
I follow after - Everyone
And to me it seems - Like so much fun
If you want me to go - I'd go with you
I'll try it once - A time or two
You tell me what to be - Who I am
Beat me up, take away - My soul again

I don't care - What you say
But I can't - Die today
Go be alone - All by yourself
Live your life - Sitting on a shelf
Up high away - From the world
And as I write - Thoughts unfurl
Salvation's free - To everyone
Just pay the fee -Self amusing is fun

Be Normal
Be Happy

    LETTER TO A PILLOW

    Dear pillow,
    I'll wet you no more.
    When the sun goes down
    And the lights go out
I'll lay my head on you
    And

Alone, she sits in her room

Waiting for the words to come,

The words of letting him know

    That she loved him.

    He knew, yesterday

    I don't feel young anymore.
I can't relate to the young anymore.
I don't know when that happened.
