CHAPTER ONE
(The bad event back home)
It was the time of night when most living creatures sleep, that a small little man walked his nightly walk under the moonlight. Tealo was his name and was a very friendly little man with no family and a lot of tales of his long-lived life. Yet this night was very different. The moon was a little red and the stars were a little dimmer than usual. Looking back across the horizon was his little village of Talloak, where he grew up all his life. There were no lights on which, like was already said, that time of night there shouldn't be. Tealo was not looking forward till tomorrow. It was his 136th birthday and the whole town was getting in on the party in his name. Tealo was a simple man and he rarely celebrates anything except holidays, which he threw wonderful parties. Tealo had many friends all over the world and some seemed to show up at odd times. Several years before, a giant named Tork showed up in his town and frightened all of Talloak. The giant was just delivering a message to Tealo. The town almost attacked the poor giant. Tork stood about 18 ft. He looked like a large man, yet he was covered in hair. The giants' eyes were larger than the average being and beautifully light blue. You could always recognize a giant. He befriended faeries, men, wizards, nolans, and giants on his travels. Some figure that when he left for the first time, he was changed in the most unusual way. He seems to never look past 50 years old. The reason behind that is when he was away with his faery friend, Peillo, they fought in a small battle. While fighting, a faery accidentally shot him with an arrow. Peillo removed the arrow and cast a magical cure over him. Faeries are full of magic and live forever unless slain. That was a long time ago. And Tealo has not shown any signs of ageing yet. Tealo is a minket. Minkets are very tiny people standing 3 ft tall. The minkets are a very long living people. Minkets usually live up to 300 years old. Tealo's grandfather, Theot, lived to an amazing 302. Everyone in the village thinks that Tealo will turn out to out-live his grandfather. Thinking back to when Tealo was a little minket, him and his grandfather took many journeys together. The times that they shared were extra-ordinary and fun. Theot even took Tealo on some adventures across the land. Tealo befriended the faeries while on a journey with his grandfather. That is where the friendship of Peillo began.
