Why have an ipod rather than say an i river?
Ipods were launched in october 2001 and one of the first mp3 players with such a big memory, when they came out every body was so shocked about how something as big as a credit card could hold so many songs this is how the apple ipod has the largest name in the mp3 world.
But surprisingly A lot of ipods have actually gone wrong, when i first bought my ipod i thought it was amazing but then 2days later it crashed and i needed it for a rugby game that after noon but fortunately i had a magazine which had tips in to fix ipod when they had crashed.

The only reason that you would buy an ipod now is either brand loyalty or you have always wanted one . I had an iriver it was alot better than my ipod nano and cost the same had the same memory but could do so much more(e.g. voice record, built in radio receiver and had a bigger screen) but because ipod were the first they Will always be the best in your mind, but actually there is a much wider range now (e.g. the toshiba giga beat, irivers ,Sony[very stylish] e.c.t) all of these cost around the same price as the ipod and have more or less the same memory. A lot of the mp3 players i have named i think are much more stylish then the ipod, ipods need the change there designs now.
So if i was going to invest in a good brand name mp3 player it would now be the ipod because of the problem me and my friends have had with them.
