Tracy was getting pretty tired of this. What more did she have to do to make it any more clear to that thick-headed Ronnie? Yes, she was subtle but that was her style. She was just too shy to be anything other than that. He should've figured it by now, shouldn't he?
She must up the ante whatever that meant. Her dad always said it though she was clueless to what it referred. She just knew she had to get seriously out there. She needed to just tell him point blank "Ronnie, I'm hot for you. Let's get it on." Hell no! She couldn't do that! Okay, something more subtle than that but still something he would notice. A little flirting, maybe. Yeah, that's it. She would flirt with him. But how? She wasn't used to that. She'd have to do some research. She'd watch the cheerleaders. They were the experts.

During a break Tracy looked all over for Ronnie and there he was in the senior hallway surrounded by his admirers. Should she even try? Yes! She walked purposely up to him and smiled.
"Hi, Ronnie."
He looked up and his usual brilliant, knock the stars-out-of-the-sky smile she loved so much appeared. "Hey...Tracy."
"Do you have time to sign my yearbook?" Tracy asked hopefully.
"Sure, okay." he replied.
With her heart dancing the conga in her chest, she sat as close as she dared. Their knees touched. Oh, my! She might just faint. Don't, this is too important. She placed the yearbook on his lap and smiled at him. "Write something cute and clever just
