I live in Oregon I have gotten married here twice and it's very simple you just have to go down to a courthouse and pay for your license wait three days before the ceremony and then your good to go. After the vows are said and the minister announces your husband and wife you all sign the license and then about a month after the courthouse sends you a vital statistics packet which you fill out and send back, then social security sends the wife a new social security card with her married name on it. You can get married outside at a park or the beach, and you can get married in a church as well. Years ago the couple would have to get a blood test before getting their license. Now it's very simple I have also divorced in this state twice, in my opinion they need to make getting the marriage license just as hard as getting the divorce, then there wouldn't be as many divorces.
