Yogurt is an excellent way of strengthening your immune system, but it also prevents yeast infections and relives ulcers. Yogurt contains millions of live, friendly bacteria cultures. Has been a staple everywhere. People in the Middle East have formed a culture on the use of yogurt they it for everything from baking to marinading meats to making drinks.
Yogurt is also a better way to get the bodies daily calcium, then a glass of milk, because about 30 million Americans don't have the require amount or lactase that is needed to break up the lactose the bacteria helps break up the sugars(lactose) even before entering your mouth.
Yogurt helps to boost Gamma Inferon which is a protein needed to help your white blood cells protect and destroy viruses and to protect against disease.
A cup of yogurt a day for women helps to control the natural bacteria in a women's body and prevent her from getting yeast infections, because the fungus/yeast infection needs the bacteria to grow and controlling the natural bacteria does not allow the fungus to be able to feed.
Also people suffering from bacteria causing ulcers in the stomach, benefit, because the bacteria in the yogurt competes with the bad bacteria in the stomach causing the bad bacterias numbers to drop.
When buying yogurt in the store always go for the freshest.; fresh means more beneficial bacteria. Always keep yogurt refrigerated when you are not eating it, because the good bacteria cannot withstand extreme heat.
Yogurt is a healhly food that is very beneficial to the body, gives calcium, a good breakfast food, can be eaten with any fruit, and people who are lactose intolerant can enjoy a dairy food.
