When we're young, and waiting for a particular event, time seems to pass by so slowly, and we wonder if the day we're waiting for will ever arrive.
As we begin to age, time seems to march on, stomping on by without a thought to how much we have to get done, and how little time there appears to be to do things.
Time is something that you can never recapture once it's gone, and in hindsight, there are many things that I would do differently if I had the chance to go back and make use of the time I had.
I would have studied harder, and not worried as much about what people thought of me. I would have balanced my early working life with family and friend time, instead of devoting every waking moment to my job.
But most of all, I would have taken more in. Instead of rushing through the park each day to get home after work, I would have wandered through and taken my time. I would have listened more when people were talking, given them my full attention instead of half listening while thinking of something else.
I would of given more of me to those who deserved it.
