If we assume the mass communication, pervasive infusion of communication: verbal, written, visual, hearing and of course widened "soul perception" is not potentially affecting future generations then we refuse to acknowledge the fast pace changes from the prototype of the internet. Communication changes are making subtle and rapid changes holistically in all of our beings: body, mind and soul including our children ( literal children and our perceptions and interactions of the inner child within us).
Given these initial precepts we will discuss how to recognize spiritual emergence early in the life span, assessment, stabilization (if necessary), and integration versus spiritual emergency.
Through the years as I was carefully observing, documenting, and collecting client data I never truly knew where this information and valuable life experiences would lead me. In addition my own spiritual experiences, research, contemplation and integration has lead me to further continuous research, pioneering efforts and integrating creative assessment, data collection, observation and implementation into the world.
Rituals in the Lifespan: Preparation of the Container
Before we assess any individual, children, youth, or adult it is necessary for us to first look at the age and developmental areas of the individual's life. There are many useful developmental theories that can assist in orienting any professional to a given range of behaviors, developmental skills, and levels of maturity that are simple guideposts. It is important to orient ourselves historically speaking, to the utilization of rituals as metronomes, or historical markers in the individual lifespan. For example tribal cultures would have young boys go through an isolation process away from mother figure, surrounded only by male elders and taught various hunting and survival skills. This period of isolation would then be marked by a celebration of the entire tribe as they were integrated back into their family. This ritual helped the tribe and the individual to "orient themselves" to where they were in their own life in relation to their perception of the world. Females would often be segregated and some would go through bodily scarring rituals i.e. female bodies would have circles drawn/carved around the navel in reflection of the universe at large. Both of these examples are deeply symbolic and essentially perform a soul tattoo, a new emergence of inner communication as well as outward communication. The
