In appraising America's security in the post 9-11 environment. You'd have to examine a wide host of matters, as it relates to the picture of national security. In the days which followed 9-11 our government talked extensively about the winning of hearts and minds. Our leader George W Bush declared that we'd get the people responsible.
Sad to say those individuals are still out there today. This is because, the than and now current setting administration took and out sourced the job of finding these people responsible to war lords. Many of which where sympathetic to the the Taliban, as well as, Al Qaeda. This likely gave the cover necessary for Osama Bin Laden to make his retreat into Pakistan. Where it is that he most likely is today. Not in a cave as some of the talking heads for the right might have us believe, but rather in a Karachi high rise apartment somewhere.

The next and even more impacting matter of concern is this unjustified quagmire and yes civil war. More over it is the civil war and quagmire that has given rise to fodder for even more hatred by the radical Islamic movement. It has been the gift that keeps giving for those who are disenfranchised, or hate the west namely the United States. This has allowed more fluid recruitment by these factions. Primarily do to the fact that it systematically plays into there political dogma.

The ridiculous and enigmatic principle propaganda. We are fighting them over there, so that we don't have to fight them over here is simply a lie and little more than that. One should ask the British in Britten or Spanish in Spain how they perceive such madness? As both had boots in the theater of war in Iraq and yet that did not prevent attacks from occurring on there soil, did it? In fact the Spanish have with drawing there troops out of the war zone and, Britten is now drawing there number of military personnel down. The anti-sentiment geared towards the West and America has actually increased through out the globe, not decreased. Attacks are up in respect to the international scene not down. Yet an other the over simplistic argument predicated on little more than ignorance remains. That being, they hate us for our freedoms. Nothing could be further from the truth. The hate us because we fund Israel and, because we've now tossed logs on the fire by invading a nation without just cause.

This decision to go into Iraq on fraudulent intelligence has crippled trust in the international community, as well as, for
