Baby fashion: How to save money on brand-name baby clothes

Want your baby to wear the top name brands, but can't figure out how with prices on the rise. Well there are a couple of solutions to this common problem. I have a friend who dresses her child in all name brands, right down to his socks, at three time's what I pay for my daughter and my son an entire outfit. In fact last weekend I got my son a four Shirts, by Nike, and my daughter two Gap dresses all for less than twenty dollars.

There are three major tips that I can give you. First shop at Consignment stores, I find alot of clothing there with the original tags still on them. Since we've all had that shirt or pair of pants bought for our children, that they somehow grew through the size before they ever even put them on. Secondly, store's that sale overstocked items, such as Marshall's or Ross. I have saved hundreds by shopping at those stores. And if you find out when there trucks come in the selection is much better. To do this try going a couple of time's on different days, and see when they seems to be more merchandise. Of course alot of time's the cashier up front will also tell. My next tip is a good one, shop the end of clearance sales for next years wardrobe. Kids usually get six months were from one size up until they turn about four, then they between four to eight, depending on growth patterns. So say your child wears a 3/6 months now, next summer she'll likely wear 12 or 18 months. Alot of stores put extra savings on clearance items just to get them out of the store. For example I got a Levi's shirt that was regular $14.99 the other day because it was marked down to $4.40, and I got an extra 10%off. I ended up only pay $3.96 for that shirt.
And using these tips will save you hundreds of dollars easy. Plus you can find great deals for your self as well. Oh and another great thing about Consignment Shops, once your child out grows it, you can take it to the store and actually make some of your money back. So happy shopping, happy saving!
