John Carpenter's Halloween was released in 1978.The film stared Donald Pleasence,Jamie Lee Curtis, and Nick Castle.Originally titled The Babysitter Murders, the film was budgeted a little under $400,000 and grossed over $47 million at the box office.Halloween is no doubt one of the classic horror films of all times.Rob Zombies (2007) remake of the film does a good job of holding its own next to the original. The movie was filled with graphic violence and suspense like the original but gave more insight on how Micheal Myers came to be the bogeyman. What I like most about the new version was that like the original it stuck to the basics of a horror films and all though there is blood and violence it didn't go overboard on special effects.I recommend this is a good date movie and with the actual holiday coming around if you haven't seen the film theres no better time to go.
