I don't think any style of clothing should be banned, for several reasons. Clothing and the way we choose to dress is a matter of personal preference, a way to express your tastes, assert your individuality or show your conformity. It is a way to make a statement or to fit in with your peers. It can affect your mood, the way you feel about your body, your self esteem and confidence, your physical comfort and the way that others perceive you.

I feel strongly that people should be able to choose the way that they dress, because limiting the available choices also limits everything I mentioned above. Taking away the freedom to choose how you present yourself can affect the way you feel about yourself, the way others perceive you, and how physically comfortable you are. It should be up to each individual person to choose how they want to feel about themselves and what image they want to portray to others.

Banning belt-less pants would be ludicrous. One would have to define what was allowed and what was not allowed. Should all pants be worn with belts? Should there be a lowest allowable level for the waist line? Should all cases of boxers showing over the top of pants be banned? Where do you draw the line? Who gets to decide what is considered ok and what shouldn't be allowed? What other items and styles of clothing would be included in the rules? Where would it end? How much of our freedom would be taken away from us before people decided it was enough?

Since when was there anything wrong with showing a bit of skin? We all know that guys wear boxers, what harm does it do to see a bit of them? What more do we see compared to a person wearing swimwear? Why does it even matter?

People should be free to do what they want and wear what they please. There's no harm in that.
