His Arms
(In memory of my father...I miss you!)

God wrapped His arms around you
To take away your pain
He's standing behind the pearly gates
Softly speaking your name
He knows you are a husband
A father
And a son
He knows the pain that's felt
By each and every one
He knows you are a brother
A grandfather
And a friend
He knows the pain that's felt
As He reaches towards your hand

God has turned you into an angel
To look over the ones you love
He will allow you to stand beside us
Just like you've always done
Although we can not see you
We will know that you are there
Just by closing our eyes and listening
To the wind blow through the air

God wrapped His arms around you
To tell you the time has come
He gently opened the pearly gates
To let in a mother's son
You now adorn the wings
That your mother and brother wear
May they wrap their arms around you
They've been waiting for you there
You are still a husband
A father
And a son
God will help to heal the pain
Felt by each and every one
You are still a brother
A grandfather
And a friend
God will help to heal the pain
Until we meet again
