My husband decided to buy a pet snake because he grew up being afraid of them, and he wanted to get over his fear. Well, needless to say he did. We had about 4 snakes all together. The first three we had kept getting sick. He talked to a lot of people, friends, pet store clerks, and whatnot and he kept saying that the Snake was blowing bubbles. It was very strange. The snake was blowing little oozey bubbles on the outside of it's mouth. We didn't know what was going on at the time, so we just got rid of him and got a new one, which did the same thing after about a month of having it. So finally we asked around about it and the response we kept getting was that it had a respiratory infection and it can be deadly after a while, if it isn't treated. My husband had a habit of taking the snake everywhere with us and it was the middle of winter, and even though he kept him in his hoodie pocket, they have to stay very warm, so taking them outside is what kept making them sick. So, we gave that Snake back to the store and got another one that wasn't sick. We never took him outside, and we had him for about 6-8 months, but then we didn't really have the time for him so we gave him to a friend. Now, though, you know what's wrong if your snake starts to blow bubbles out of the sides of it's mouth.
