Learning the art of tarot cards

When I was thirteen I had a dream I will never forget.

I was walking by some apartments where I delivered newspapers. Behind the apartment buildings was a graveyard.

In the dream the graveyard is empty, not a single headstone is there. Instead I see a hole. I sense rather than see a presence near the hole. Jumping a chainlink fence I go to check out the hole. In it is a deck of Tarot cards. I can feel a presence next to me but I also hear voices coming from the cards. Without words the presence guides me to understand that each card holds a soul trapped in limbo.

The souls are longing to be heard, to be understood.

"You are the reader of the cards" the presence speaks clearly for the first time. I can feel the cards calling to me. They are so fustrated. They can not move from where they are, yet they are desperate to speak to the living. Speaking to the living is the is the only way they can be set free.

"You don't want me." I say, "Nobody listens to me, I am shy. People scare me. You want someone like Jane," I suggest thinking of the most popular girl I knew. "Everybody listens to her."

"No," the presense speaks again. "You are a moonchild, she is a starchild. Only a moonchild can hear them."

The dream changes . . . I find myself flying forward in time. For a moment I am riding an L in San Francisco. I am an adult. But again I am pulled forward. I get dizzy. At last it stops in a big city. Two airplanes crash into two towers. The feeling of death and destruction is tangible. I look around trying to understand where and when I am, but the scene has already changed.

I've been pulled forward again but not so far this time. Looking down on an island village I am reminded of a Godzilla movie. Looking up I see Godzilla, he is pushing a huge wave in front of him. The wave washes the village away. Godzilla disappears. There are dead bodies everywhere. This time the feel of death and destruction is overpowering. I can't stand it.

The presense lifts me up and holds me where I can see both catastrophes replaying before me. "This is what will happen if you do not read the cards." At first I don't get it. Then I remember the cards, I saw faces too when I heard them. The faces are clearer now. I look at the first plane heading for a tower. There is a godzilla like creature holding the plane directing it. I hadn't noticed the creature before. The creature feels like a crowd of people. Studying it I see faces,
