Is marriage still sacred?

I have been married for thirty- four years and the day I took my vows, I swore it was to be till death do us part.
It isn't always that easy as my first marriage didn't work out. Why? It takes two people to work daily on a marriage. It has to be a 50/50 or it will never be. My husband and i agreed on a lot of things before we took that step. We made vows to each other that we would carry through till the end. We would never give the silent treatment, we would never close our eyes in anger at night, we would always say we loved each other even if we were upset over something because love can't just stop, we would never move from our bed because of anger and we would never hold a problem inside our heart, we would always talk about it before it took over us. We would never stand by and let others put our partner down, they don't have the right to.

I believe marriage is still sacred to those who think before they speak, for those who realize that it is meant forever, for those who read their vows before they make them.
There are no two people in this world the same and often people think they are in love and jump at it but we should know that there is a special someone for each of us and not accept less.
Yes marriage is still sacred.
