A buyer's guide to wheatgrass juice

What exactly is wheatgrass and how can you benefit from it. Let's explore the depths of these questions and find out just how wheatgrass can and will improve your health.

Red Wheat Berry is where the wheatgrass originates,it is a wheat sprout ranging in age from 1-2 weeks old, it is extremely rich in vitamins, up to 70% chlorophyll, bioflavonoids, enzymes, and minerals.

Wheatgrass has been said to be the wonder juice for ailments such as: Obesity, Fatigue, High Blood pressure, Constipation, Asthma, Stomach Ulcers, Anemia, The common cold, it also helps to build resistance to infections.

There are three main therapeutic roles of wheatgrass. They are:

Blood purification and

Wheatgrass can be bought in a variety of forms such as juice, tablets, powders and for the "green thumbs" you can also plant and grow your own wheatgrass from the comfort of your home.

Wheatgrass is a terrific source of calcium, copper, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, zinc, Vitamin C, K , E , and B9 (folic acid). Chlorophyll neutralizes toxins in the body and helps to purify the liver. Bioflavonoids are powerful antioxidants that work in conjunction with vitamin C to help strengthen blood vessels and also connective tissues. Enzymes help the bodies defense mechanism by strengthening cells. It helps eliminate toxins that accumulate over time from eating processed food, drinking impure water, or even breathing the harmful toxins in polluted air.

Consume the wheatgrass in any form on an empty stomach. It is recommend that you begin your regimen by drinking 1 oz of wheatgrass juice per day. After a few weeks you may increase your intake to 2 oz. and over the course of a few months take gradual steps to increase your intake to 4 oz. per day. The recommended amount of 500 mg wheatgrass tablets of 500 mg is 4 to 6 tablets per day. Wheatgrass powders can range from 1-3 teaspoons per day. The wheatgrass juice has a taste all it's own, and some report not liking the taste. You may want to mix it with other juices, such as: pineapple, orange, apple, grape or any other juice that you wish too make it more pleasant tasting. Create your own special blend and make it a morning ritual and you'll be on the way to a more healthy you in no time.

There are no special precautions to be concerned about. The wheatgrass juice does not contain gluten, and is deemed safe for people who suffer from wheat allergies.
