Trans-national interests surmount interests of national democracy in the United States as the political leadership is seduced by the tremendous wealth of capitalism to such an extent that it generally gives up management of the prerogatives of democracy; that failure to comprehend and act upon national self-interest is the central cause of the decline and continuing decline of U.S. national security...the fault lies not in the stars but in ourselves.
Recent analysis concludes that the Bush 43 war policy may cost the United States as much as two trillion dollars for war in Iraq and Afghanistan; that diversion of infrastructure investment funds away from the U.S.A. and failure to transfer away from fossil fuels for transports along with insipid securing of a zero ingress of illegal aliens into the U.S.A. wreaks serious havoc and weakness upon post 9-11 efforts to increase American national security.
Global security issues that challenge every nation such as international terrorism, environmental disasters, compulsory standardization of the standard of living and world culture into an homogeneous paste that destroys the environment as collateral damage, inadequate health and education, exploitation and relocation of the working class over international borders-these are all causes of insecurity for the United States. The opportunities for random and spontaneous destructuring of transitory and occasionally repressive macro-economic structures of an impersonal if not cold-blooded nature present challenges and responses to individuals to such an extent that they may sacrifice their lives voluntarily as they deem it a necessary payment to purchase liberty.
U.S. security interests are curiously ignored in several respects presently by the administration's inability to prioritize national interests before corporate special interests. Trans-nationalism in corporate political ascent places a corporatist government in power that implicitly subverts democracy at home and abroad. Trans-nationalism cannot provide nor would seek such a rapid increase of global literacy and political education of quality that a global democracy would be able to arise to advise and consent through voting to a global government. A de facto global corporate government of CEO's and Communist Party bosses will co opt national government leaders and essentially rule the world as an oligarchy.
In Iraq the intellectual challenge is just too much for the administration; long term preference
