Finding overseas friendship

I've found so many overseas friends now through blogging. I recently moved from Indonesia to Finland, so my barrier in finding real-world friends in this country is the language. Plus I'm a bit shy, so I decided to try blogging to help me get rid of my loneliness. After some time, I got to visit lots of different blogs and found unique arrays of individuals worldwide. Then they've also gotten to know me from the posts in my blog. From their responses, I begin to feel not so alone in this strange new country. I begin to feel understood and appreciated. I never thought that blogging world would be this therapeutic and rewarding for me.

It's like having so many neighbors spread all around the world. I can see, feel, experience their world from their posts. They help me find my place in this world and I feel so at home in the blogging world. Best of all, I don't feel any "real" interruption to my daily routine as they can visit my blog anytime and I can visit their blog anytime. No strings attached. Finding friends this way is all based on respect, enough curiosity and effort to get to know one another, and good will. My blogging friends have truly enriched my life and I don't think my life has ever been this complete.
