Reflections: Losing love

I closed my eyes just for a second..
Saw our lives in which we shared..thought you'd come back....
All the times of love and laughter.
Places we've been and seen TOGETHER....all have been forgotten to you....
We were once strong and now I'm weak, LOVE that was layed thick, has now grown thin with time.
We were slowly changing, and seeking time away from each other.
When we stood TOGETHER we stood tall, but now pain is laid on our shoulders and we both fall in different directions.

Trying now to pick up the pieces of our meaningless lives apart we suffer.

I wish to dive into an ocean to have the waves reach the shore to wash away the anger...and hate.
You were once their, but you too have been washed away with the tide.
I feel cold now...no warm embrace to fulfill my heart.
Know that what you cherish the most can hurt you, and what you love can kill you.

Now we are merely foot prints in the sand...and the guilt leaves you swimming for your life.

I've opened my eyes to a new reality....time heals all wounds...time to start fresh..and leave you in the past!
