All Americans would like to see our U.S. soldiers brought home. I am no different. I wish every last one of them could return home to their families right now. However I also understand that these men and women have risked their life to fight for their country and establish a better way of life and democracy for a ravished country, Iraq. If those troops leave now Iraq could easily be taken back over by another communist ruler. Then what have any of our soldiers accomplished?

Many of these men and women signed those papers to go to war to defend the U.S. after the attack on the World Trade Centers on 9-11. They knew the danger yet they chose to do it anyway. Many of these troops have died in the line of duty. It is important that their job be finished by their fellow troops. These people did not risk their lives for a job half done.

Many people harass President Bush for his choice to send our troops to war in the first place. I ask you this, had you rather have seen the war brought to your own front door? I know I had much rather have seen it fought on Iraqi soil than U.S. Bush is not to blame he did what he thought was best for our country. 9-11 was a terrible day and many lives were lost and many lives are still being lost due to the soldiers in Iraq but the job must be finished while the troops are there or else years down the road we could be looking at the same situation again only worse. We had to stand up for our country and that is what the President did.

Yes, I was sad to find that our country had to go to war to protect its own beliefs and freedom. I had some of my very closet friends on a plane headed to Germany the day the first shot was fired. Yes, I cried. I cried for fear for my friends, I cried for the fear for my country, I cried for the soldiers on their way into a battlefield, and I cried for all the lives that had been lost on that awful day.

Go ahead and say it, she doesn't have a loved one over there, no I don't but I lost a good childhood friend to a mine by the road. My best friend lost her cousin. One of my very best and beloved friends of all my life enlisted is enlisted in the Navy. A friend of my best friend's just recently shipped back out to Iraq. The most amazing thing is he was proud to be going back. It was something he wanted to do. He wanted to see the job finished once and for all.

Before you judge our President's decision of how, when and where this war should have been fought or if it should have even been fought at all think about how he must have felt as he made the call. President Bush did not start this war. Al Qaeda Terrorists started this war. It is left up to our country now to back down and be later attacked again or to see it through to the end while we still have soldiers there today. If we allow our country to become divided over a war that we did not start we are awaiting the victory of terrorists. We need to stick together and support our nations leader of his choice to fight and finish a war we did not start but had no choice but to fight.
