What bothers me about this case is that it is unclear what Larry Craig did wrong. What constitutes a sexual advance? Was there touching involved, and where any words exchanged? What in the world were the cops doing in the bathroom? Is this the crime of the century? I am appalled by the fact that If I use a public bathroom and I in-inadvertently sneeze or stand the wrong way I could be arrested for making a sexual advance. I understand that an assault can be an aggressive unwanted gesture, but simply reaching for a piece of paper is hardly aggressive.
This smells like a set-up. Has America become so obsessed with a person's sexual orientation that we have lost all reason and embarked on a modern day witch hunt? We should leave people alone. A person's sexual preference should be a private matter between two people. We are making ourselves look ridiculous to the rest of the world by smearing every-one in politics for some slight indiscretion. Frankly, who cares anyway? Except, possibly our enemies!
