I am not much for foreign film's. But those that I have seen, such as Jet Li's "Hero" and a few others I did not care for. I have to admit, for most major movies with big stars such as Jet Li, Ken Watanabe, who is a great actor, and played the role of Katsumoto in The Last Samurai, The Chairman in Memoirs of a Geisha, and Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins; But for the most part, if you want to make it big in America, about 75% of the country at least has their main language as American English. For the most part as well, most people do not want to read their movies, they want to watch it. If a person's eyes are centered on the bottom of the screen to read what their saying, how are they suppose to watch the movie? It is the job of the director and producer to tell a story on screen and have it be seen. One of the biggest draws here in America isn't Disney Land, or Disney World, or Knotts, or Six Flag's or any amusement park, its the Movies, thats the biggest thing we have here in America. The Movie industry racks in millions upon billions of dollars a year. Nothing else that I know of racks in that kind of money each and every year. So why would a country that loves its movies as much as the All American past time Baseball and hot dogs want to watch a movie that you have to read?
