Reflections: Going back home

I had nothing to say to this place as I stood inside of Hollywood & Highland Mall, where you overlook to the exaggerated Hollywood sign on that hill I called home for all this while. I took a deep breath and got off the stoop so the tourists can get a view of the filthy neighborhood or the big white letters that form that infamous word known around the world as the place where stars are born. I phoned Tina, my then roommate, to let her know I was on my way home. Home, that sounded so good at that moment, almost like I didn't want to stop calling this place home. I found myself tearing on the 163 Cahuenga(ca-wenga) Blvd. I was a wreck, I took my mirror out of my FIDM tote bag and wiped the tears from my eyes. We reached Barham and Cahuenga now and Lance got on the bus, he sat next to me and gave me a hug, we sat in silence until we finally reached Barham and Coyote Canyon, home sweet home! We swiped our security cards to get past the gates and headed downhill on our journey to the A building where our apartments were inconveniently located. We passed the South clubhouse where all our homeys from the South buildings were hanging by their pool, I stopped by to say hello and remind them all about plans for the night. Me and Lance continued down the stairs by the S buildings now and took the shortcut up the stairs leading up to C where we crossed the bridge over into A, he went into his apartment and told me he'd come up when he was ready, excited for tonight I ran up the stairs to 209, home sweet home.

Tina was already out the shower waiting for me to come pick out her outfit, like every other night. After a few minutes I had her outfit laid out on her bed and went to pick mine out. I chose at beige baby doll with my red and gold shoes and gold jewelry. Took a quick shower because Tina had already done my hair this morning. The boys were pounding on the door, I shouted it was open and the all burst in and Josh fell in because he was the first by the door. In a matter of seconds all the work I had put into cleaning this place was gone to waste like every single night due to the crazy fools we hung out with. I yelled for them to stop drinking all our stuff, we were on a limited supply and who wouldn't be with all these mouths to feed. I laughed to myself a little, Justin walked into my room and threw himself on my bed, he had taken over my bed now that Lydia was gone, she was my roommate but I took over the whole room and Tina had her room to herself as well,
