There's a bridge going to heaven with a gate made of gold
We'll be walking 'oer that bridge with the young and the old
Our Saviour will meet us and the gate will open wide
And love will pour out like waters from a tide

Won't you come and cross that bridge with me,
so the glories of heaven, together we will see

Come let us live in the house of the Lord
And never have to face the drawing of the sword
We'll walk hand in hand with our father as his child
and all will forever be peaceful and mild
