I belong to a very popular bulletin board for parents and it is always amazing to me the amount of spelling and grammatical errors that people unthinkingly make. Some of them are ignorance, some are typos, and other are just plain people's perference for how they like to type.
A big pet peeve is Lose vs. Loose. I've noticed that when in doubt, people use "loose" to describe situations where they need to "lose" weight or they "lose" their keys. I'd love to correct.
Another no-no on the internet is "text-slang". A lot of times people will want to shortcut words so they will use "NEWay" instead of anyway. Honestly, it's one extra letter to type it out. I understand when texting you want to shortcut it as much as possible since you are limited on how much you can type, but within the internet realm, typing something out is much more user-friendly.
