When you should your insurer's body shop for repairs

by Tn Fr0g

Being a Professional Auto Body Technician I know for a fact ,Most insurance companies have shops that they may be able to recommend but can NEVER force you to use. It is your car, your premiums, your choice. Your insurance company will make the check out to you personally unless authorized " by you" to do otherwise. And you do NOT even have to have the vehicle fixed if you prefer to keep the money and fix the car some other time. Again your car, your premiums, your choice.. It Is Illegal For An Insurance Company To Force You To Use Their " Friends" Shop.Insurance companies accept estimates and " award" the job to the shop they feel was most fair and honest with them. That shop then in turn has to pay taxes on that job whether or not they actually do the work.Simply because they were " awarded " the job and it shows on tax returns for them at the end of each year.Still it IS YOUR CAR,YOUR PREMIUMS,YOUR CHOICE.
