Poetry: Friendship vs. love

by Connie Taylor

Created on: September 05, 2007   Last Updated: July 16, 2008

My friend my love.

We've been friends all through school...
Together we learned the golden rule.

Your the only one for me...
This I will guarantee.

Open my heart with your key....
Only you can set me free.

The door is open to my heart...
From your love I can't depart.

I only wanted to be friends...
But true friendship never ends.

You are my friend and my lover...
There can never be another.

Our love will always be...
Together for eternity.
