How to save money on brand name baby clothes is not a hard issue to solve. Infants, and toddlers usually wear an item for a 6-8 month period. They grow at a fast rate and the clothing we purchase does not last long. So when trying to save money you do not always have to purchase top quality you can purchase good quality for less at shops such as Old Navy, Baby Gap, Target, and other retail stores with coupons or when they are on sale. Purchasing from a Designer or wholesaler is almost impossible because you do not purchase in bulk and you do not want items from China.
Old Navy carries many name brands such as Gerber, OshKosh, etc. These brand names are sold on line at a fraction of the prices they are sold in small boutique baby shops. In order to save money you must stay out of small shops. The owners have to pay a high rent which will come out of your pocket. Before entering a Boutique think do I want to pay there rent, or purchase the best quality at the lowest prices? If you ask this question to yourself every time you are tempted to enter ONE you will save, save, save. Yes, you can go in and get ideas on outfits for a special occasion or to see what they are featuring for a season, but you can not purchase it from there.
In boutiques the prices are high, but are you getting more for your money? NO, they just have to add in rent, utilities, salaries to each item on there mark up. Save the money as the outfit will not last longer, your child will grow just as fast as as the seasons change. Lord and Taylor has all designer and quality baby clothing and they have sales which offer coupons in the paper and the buys you can get from this retailer are just phenomenal. You can also purchase certain items on sale for the following year at the lowest prices.
There are many other stores, which offer sales or close outs and this is where you will get more bang for your buck. Watch the sales, and keep in mind you only need for 7 days, so when purchasing outfits make sure you can mix and match so it looks like you purchased more than you have. Making sure all the colors have coordinates will help your child look as though he is wearing a new outfit each time someone sees you.
With these thoughts in mind, Happy Savings Shopping!
