I remember first hearing about Myspace. In my circle of family and friends, I'm usually the first one to find out about cool new sites. But not this time. This time, my youngest sister is the one who beat me to it. I remember her sending me an invite and I thought it was just another one of those "social networking sites that never really take off". But here I am, almost 2 years later and I'm addicted. I think I probably check Myspace 4 times a day, at least. I have reconnected with people I haven't talked to since I graduated high school in 1996. I have also met new friends that I probably would have never met had it not been for Myspace. I have maybe a little over 100 friends and I know almost all of them personally (except for the music artists and people I've met online via blogs). It's a great way to keep in touch with those you don't see very often. I'm hoping that Myspace stays around for a long time!
